Ross Island
Ross Island used to be where the British bosses in Andaman hung out. Now, it’s an interesting place to see old buildings and learn about history. It’s a quick boat ride from Port Blair. There are old buildings, gardens, and peacocks everywhere. You can walk around and see the old church, the commissioner’s house, and the hospital. They all tell stories from the British days.
The island’s green and the paths are pretty, so it’s a nice place to walk around and take pictures. The peacocks are cool, and the breeze makes it feel good. There are signs and tours that tell you about the island’s past.
Ross Island is a good choice for a day trip. It’s got history, nature, and a laid-back vibe. The boat ride over gives you some nice views of Port Blair and the water. Walking around the island lets you see the old buildings and the scenery.
If you dig history or nature, Ross Island is a quiet place to check out the Andaman Islands’ colonial past. If you visit Port Blair, put it on your list.
