Chatham Saw Mill

The Chatham Saw Mill, near Port Blair, is one of the oldest and biggest wood cutting places in Asia. It’s cool for people who like history and how things are made. It started way back when the British were here and was important for making wood and growing the islands’ money. It still works today.

You can get a tour to see how they turn trees into wood and learn about trees that grow on the islands. The area is nice and green, with lots of trees and gardens.

The mill is a good place to bring family or take pictures. You can watch how they cut wood .
