Chidiya Tapu

Chidiya Tapu, or Bird Island, is about 25 kilometers from Port Blair. People love it because there’s crazy wildlife and the sunsets are amazing. Bird-watchers go nuts here – you’ll see kingfishers, sea eagles, parrots, all kinds of birds. It’s got mangroves, thick forests, and quiet beaches, so if you’re all about nature or taking cool pictures, this is your spot.

The beach at Chidiya Tapu is great for swimming, sunbathing, or just walking around.. When the sun goes down the sky turns all sorts of wild colors – orange, pink… You”ll want to have your camera ready. There’s also a lookout tower if you want to see a big view of the forest and coast.
